One of my goals for 2022 was to read more nonfiction, specifically books relating to running a small business. Full disclosure: I have not read all of these, but they are all on my TBR list (and currently sitting on my coffee table).
These are in no particular order, as it was incredibly difficult to pick only five!
Learn to build up new habits by working on them everyday! James Clear is an expert on habit-building, and his techniques help you improve motivation, create an ideal space for creating habits, and stick with them!
Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by Brené Brown
A fantastic book about vulnerability - and what is more vulnerable than starting your own small business?!
I know, similar title to the last one. Hear me out: this one specifically relates to leadership. I loved it and learned a lot about leading and myself as a result of reading this book.
The 12 Week Year: Get More Done in 12 Weeks than Others Do in 12 Months by Brian P. Moran, Michael Lennington, et al.
Any book that can help me get more done in less time is a book I will 100% invest in. I always take these books with a grain of salt though - they do not factor in family emergencies, becoming a parent, etc.
Profit First: Transform Your Business from a Cash-Eating Monster to a Money-Making Machine by Mike Michalowicz
Learn how to make your business sustainable and profitable - a must for any business!
